Book Review - Brain Rules for Baby

Brain Rules for Baby by John Medina

Brain Rules for Baby sets the stage for parents to create an environment conducive to raising smart, happy, and moral children. John Medina provides research-based rules to help you shape your parenting strategies.

I appreciated the conversations that Daniel and I had as we read through this book. We now have a common language for discussing empathy, dealing with emotions, and structuring discipline.

Jocelyn’s Take Home Points:

Focus on strengthening your marriage by developing an empathy response. When children sense that their parents love each other, they are then able to focus on the work of childhood: playing.

I love reading parenting books and this clip made me laugh so I thought you might enjoy it if you ever start stressing about the elusive "right way" to parent.
